Check-Ups

Unlike going to your Doctor, we don't have a waiting room, or a receptionist that's going to ask a lot of questions you're going to have to repeat the answers to later. When you bring your brain to shopforbrains.com for a check-up, or call ahead to state your problem, you're going to be dealing directly with a trained customer service assistant. He'll evaluate your responses to his questions and recommend a treatment regimen that may include leaving your brain with us for overnight care. In most cases involving a software issue however, he'll be able to deal with your problem and conclude it satisfactorily over the phone. Just follow his instructions to get your brain back on the road to good health. If we've obtained your brain for you, then all the conditions of your warranty apply. We also offer a cleaning service for most anything connected to your brain, including a brain bath! There's really nothing like the smell of a clean brain! Let our courteous staff explain what we do when WE clean up!

Unless there's smoke pouring out from the back of your brain, or monitor and before you call us, please re-boot your system. In most instances, this simple step will do a lot toward clearing up minor problems that the operating system encounters. If this DOESN'T fix the problem, then call us at 604-518-5005. This is a twenty-four hour number, and we guarantee you'll get a response within thirty minutes or the first hour's service is free.

Here's an overview of our basic charges:

Shop Rate	$75.00 per hour (if we can fix the problem within thirty minutes, a nominal charge of $30.00 applies).
On Site Service	$95.00 per hour with a 1.0 hour minimum call-out (includes thirty minute travel-time allowance) for single user brains. $105.00 per hour with a 1.0 hour minimum call-out (includes a thirty minute travel-time allowance) for networked brains.
Brain Evaluation	Free (normally done over the phone or you bring it in).
Brain Bath	Desktop and Tower (up to 19") brain cases - $35.00 Tower brain cases (up to 24") - $40.00 Servers brains (racked) - call for a quotation
Peripheral Cleaning	Keyboard and Mouse - $15.00 Monitor - $15.00 Printers - call for a quotation

Please note!

Brain baths require an overnight stay in our service centre
(not for you, for your brain - you get to go home).
On-site cleaning is subject to our hourly rate for service
and may be limited to safety considerations
imposed by your environment. In addition, the application
of some of the cleaning solutions and solvents we use may
prove to be intolerable by people with asthma
or some allergies.

Invoicing to qualified customers is net 30 days.
COD customers receive a 10% discount.
All rates apply to normal business hours 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Emergency after hours calls are subject to an hourly premium.

Use of this service doesn't normally require replacement of components and is intended to clear up software related issues (including updating drivers or anti-viral programs). If we believe that the problem relates to hardware, then surgery is the only alternative. This involves cracking the brain case to access the components inside. Please refer to the link at the left.
